a member of Melbourne Co-operative Bookshop and you can enjoy
greater discounts on your purchases all year round.
Membership entitles you to 12% discount on textbooks, general
books, art materials and stationary, special order items - in
fact almost everything we sell*. The discount applies if you pay by cash, EFTPOS or credit
card, even American Express.
A one-off fee of
$10.00* ($10.50 for credit card
transactions) applies at the time of joining, however
you can elect
to cancel your membership at any time after 12 months, and we
will refund your $10.00 - effectively costing you nothing!
Or you can remain a member and continue to receive the extra
discount for as long as you like.
Membership is available to
everyone* - join online with a
simple order process (can be combined with a book order), or fill in an application form, and your extra
discount applies straight away. A membership card will be sent
with your parcel, or posted to you if joining without placing an
order.
As a Co-operative we share benefits with all our
members. We use your membership fee to help us, and in return we
give you extra discounts. It also means that unlike some other
loyalty and membership schemes, your joining fee is refundable.
It's like buying a share in a company - the extra discount is
the dividend, and when you no longer want to hold the share, we
buy it back from you. We are also bound by the Victorian
Government legislation covering Co-operative entities.
